Online booking platform: a full-stack booking site I built and shipped for a real barbershop owner. Customers pick a service, choose an open time, and get an instant confirmation, with opt-in text reminders or email. The owner has a private dashboard to see each day’s bookings, change or cancel appointments, block off time, and edit his services, prices and appointment lengths. It shows who has opted in to texts and tells him exactly who will be notified before he cancels.
React and Vite frontend; serverless Python (FastAPI) API on AWS Lambda with DynamoDB for storage. Double-booking is prevented with conditional writes, and a scheduled job sends reminders. Deploys through infrastructure-as-code (AWS SAM) and GitHub Actions with OIDC, with automated tests on both the backend and the frontend.
